About the Authors

The Authors Dr. Lynda Ginsburg (left) is Senior Researcher at the National Center on Adult Literacy at the University of Pennsylvania. An experienced mathematics educator, she has developed and taught courses and workshops for K-12 teachers and adult educators on enriching instructional practice.

Caroline McGuire (right) is a Ph.D. student in the Reading/Writing/Literacy program at the University of Pennsylvania. Previously, she developed training programs for pediatricians on incorporating literacy counseling into primary care.
