on those sites.
- Participants will define how they would use the websites in teaching
geometry and measurement.
- Participants will evaluate websites using an online rubric.
- Participants will define barriers to using the websites in their instruction.

To the Trainer:
How do we know where we are? Since the beginning of time we humans have
had to find ways to identify where we are, where we’re going, and
where we’ve been. Further, we need to be able to describe these
locations so that others can accurately find those same places. While
“go to the pointed rock beside the river” worked for a while,
it lost its effectiveness when we traveled beyond familiar landmarks to
areas that needed more precise descriptions. Eventually we learned to
describe the organization of our space in mathematical symbols and terms.
Maps, measurement, and geometry all help us define our spaces.
