Collaborative Activity - Sample Project - Citizenship Interview

(Note: font formatted like this on this page are facilitator comments.)

If time permits, ask participants to separate into pairs. In the Orientation unit, point out the two sample citizenship interview projects that other teachers have done. Ask participants to pair up and role play the citizenship interview. Each pair will print out the interview questions and work together to simulate the interview that citizenship candidates must go through.

Ask participants for volunteers to share their interview with the rest of the group.

This activity is designed to help participants get a feel for what their students may go through in the citizenship process as well as to let teachers get a taste of a project-based activity.
