Biography: Ramchandra Paudel Ramchandra Paudel received a degree in education at Tribhuvan University(T.U), Kathmandu, Nepal in 1986. He spent most of his professional career (10 years) as a teacher and teacher trainer in different parts of the country and was able to establish two community Secondary Schools in villages. Ramchandra has experience in conducting training, workshops, policymaking, strategic planning and implementation of child and family related literacy and basic education programs. He co-authored "General Counseling Manual" and 'Training Hand book on Psychosocial Counseling' which has been widely used in Nepal on Urban out of School Children Program and child focus programs. Ramchandra founded the Social Integration Forum for Working Children (CHILDREN-Nepal) in1995 and now serves as its executive coordinator. Synopsis : Mr. Paudel's presentation
comes in two parts. The first is a report on literacy in Nepal, which
includes a discussion on government programs and trends in education.
The second part is a case study about Nepal from a holistic perspective. Report
