Biographical Information : Mulazim Hussain Mujahid, an Anthropologist turn Educationist was born in1954.. He did his Master Degree in Anthropology from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad in 1982,He carried out an ethnographic study in a village in Punjab, Pakistan, He also did a Master degree in Educational Planning & Management from Allama Iqbal Open University(AIOU) Islamabad in 1989. He is presently working as Deputy Nationl Project Director Non-Formal Basic Education in Chief Executive Literacy Commission Ministry of Education Government of Pakistan Islamabad .He started his job as Field Coordinator in 1983 in Functional Education Project for Rural Areas of AIOU and ODA (Overseas Development Association UK). He joined Literacy Commission as Research Officer in 1984 where he is working uptil now. He also worked as Chief Welfare Officer Northern Areas in Staff Welfare Organization Government of Pakistan for one year in 1990-1991. Mr Mujahid has a lot of experience in planning, implementation and management of literacy & basic education projects at national as well as at grass root level .He prepared project proposals for the government and international organization. He also organized a number of training workshops/courses for teachers, master trainers and field functionaries in collaboration with national and international agencies .He has written/compiled various reports which includes teacher guide, teacher training manual, reports of workshops, evaluation reports and papers on Planning & Management of literacy programmes in Pakistan. Mr Mujahid has visited / worked in different parts of the country and has knowledge of national and regional languages and cultures. He has also visited/represented the country to Thailand ,Sri Lanka, Nepal, Indonesia, Bangladesh and USA in connection with meetings, workshops, training courses about literacy and basic education.
