Biography : Dr. Amadou Sohna Kebbeh served as a Senior Education officer and co-ordinator of Secial Eucation Programs within the directorate of basic education at the state department of education from 1994-1995. He went on to enroll at Teachers College, Columbia University where he graduated with a degree of Doctor of Education in Aministration and Spervision. Dr. Kebbeh was redeployed at the directorate of basic education upon his return to The Gambia and is currently working on institutional development and appraisal with respect to literacy and basic education. He has been a teacher for almost 15 years Synopsis : Mr. Bah's presentation deals with issues of Literacy in Gambia. He worked on it in conjunction with Mr. Gibril Bah.
