Biography : Mr. Gibril Bah is a senior education officer at the Adult and Non-formal Education Directorate within the State Department of Education. He is a literature officer responsible for Pulaar. His responsibilities include production of literature materials and training of facilitators, as well as evaluation of literacy programs. Mr. Bah holds a certificate in Co-operative Studies and a diploma in adult education from the Institute of Adult Education, Dar-es-salaam, Tanzania. In addition to being a government official, Mr. Bah is also the mayor of Nema-Kunku a suburban town within the greater Banjul area. Synopsis : Mr. Bah's presentation deals with issues of Literacy in Gambia. He worked on it in conjunction with Dr. Amadou Kebbeh.
