6. Reviewing the Website

Provide a brief overview of the website.

Using an LCD projector, guide participants through the registration process. (Be sure to provide written, step-by-step instructions re: how to register.) Then, demonstrate the various features and tools in the Home Space; time permitting, touch on the "Tools" and "Learning" sections. Invite participants to explore the section of the website that corresponds to Program 2: Matching Skills and Jobs. Ask them to consider the following questions:

  • How well does the website complement the video and workbook?
  • What does it add/provide that the other resources do not?
  • How could you leverage these activities to forward your preliminary lesson ideas?

Initiate a group discussion about the online component and participants' responses to the questions.
