Facilitators lead a large group discussion on general topics in order to get participants reacquainted. Facilitators review the agenda for the next two days and ask participants for any other suggestions about what should be covered over the next two days.. |
| 09:30 - 10:00 | Focusing on the Projects: Participants reflect individually on their
projects using the “Pre-presentation Reflections” Template. *Resource: “Pre-presentation Reflections” Template. Participants fill out a form that asks them to list any questions they generated with their project, and any positive or negative outcomes. This exercise is intended to help participants focus on their projects and provide a framework for the presentations. Results are for personal reflection only and are not shared with the group. |

| 11:30 - 12:00 | Personal Reflection time (computer lab) - Individuals fill out reflection
form online about their projects using the “Personal Reflection On Inquiry
Project” Template. *Resource: “Personal Reflection On Inquiry Project” Template. Participants complete the online form about their project, which focuses on the longer term effects of their project on their classroom practice. These forms are then uploaded by the participants to the Yahoo Group. |

| 01:00 - 01:30 | Wake up Activity: Three minute worst classroom experiences. The facilitators begin by sharing the worst classroom experience they have had as educators. For example, one of the facilitators in our group described her first day on the job teaching high school. As she was striding confidently across the front of the room, she tripped on a floor mounted outlet and fell flat on her face. The room was completely silent until a student called out, “Ms. Smith, shall I call the school nurse?” Ms. Smith was touched by the student’s concern, until she found out later that day that the school had no school nurse on staff. Participants who wish may also relate their experiences. |

Participants take state survey online at literacy.org. *Resource: Password for State Survey. The facilitator should secure the password required in order for participants to take their state survey. Currently Florida, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Pennsylvania are online. |

| 09:30 - 10:00 | Review of Inquiry Model using “action research” Powerpoint presentation. *Resource: “Action Research” Powerpoint Presentation. Facilitators conduct a brief review of the Inquiry model using the Powerpoint presentation, through lenses of what participants have already done, and with an eye toward helping participants move toward further research. |

planning for next steps online using the template "Reflections on Next
Steps." *Resource: “Reflections on Next Steps” Template. Participants complete the template online individually and upload their files to the Yahoo Group. |

| 11:00 - 12: 00 | Demonstration of “Inspiration” software. Participants create their
own Inspiration file “All about Me.” *Resource: Inspiration Software (demo disks or download demo at www. inspriation.com Facilitator demonstrates the software by constructing an “All About Me” schematic. Participants then tryout the software individually and upload their Inspiration files to the Yahoo Group. |

their “All About Me” Inspiration creations. Willing participants have their Inspiration creations projected on the large screen for show and tell. |
| 01:30 - 02:00 | Demonstration of “Tapped In” educational Multiuser Domain. Participants
try out synchronous chat. Facilitator demonstrates “Tapped In” (www.tappedin.org/) and synchronous chat on the big screen. Participants then explore “Tapped In” and practice synchronous chat. |
| 02:00 - 03:00 | Participants take NCRTEC Learning With Technology Profile Tool online
& small group activity discussion of NCAL Article ALL-TECH in binder.
*Resources: (www.ncrtec.org/capacity/profile/profile.htm) & ALL-TECH article. Participants take Profile Tool online and print out graph results. Small groups are formed to discuss results and to discuss ALL-TECH article. |

*Resource: Workshop final evaluation. Faciltiators lead wrap up discussion. Topics include the future of the Yahoo group and intergroup contacts. Do the participants want to continue the particular Yahoo group? PDK groups are also a resource for ongoing work. Evaluations are distributed. |
