GED Connection Training Module

8. Intro to Discussion Board

Depending on the goals of the workshop, it might be worthwhile to orient participants to a simple discussion board to use after the training. Provide a brief introduction to the Professional Development Kit (PDK) discussion tool; make sure everyone knows the basics of navigation, posting/reading/responding to messages before they leave for the day. Articulate any rules you might want participants to follow online and clarify the facilitator's commitment to commenting.
